The Davy Roll Company Limited, with a capacity well in excess of 20,000 tonnes per annum, is a major European supplier of cast rolls to the metal working industry, worldwide.
The The Davy Roll Company is situated in the North East of England, approximately one mile from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The works has been is existence for over 150 years, during which time it has progressively manufactured locomotives, coal-mining equipment, general castings and rolls. Since 1970, when The Davy Roll Company was formed, rolls have become the only product.
The company manufactures cast rolls for Hot and Cold Strip Mills, Medium and Heavy Section Mills and Plate Mills, in a variety of iron and steel qualities. Rolls up to 55 tonnes finished weight are produced by static and spin-cast techniques.
In order to maintain its position at the forefront of roll making, The Davy Roll Company has invested heavily over the last 10 years. This has created a company with very modern roll making facilities to complement the new roll types available.
In the last decade, the company, in pursuit of its policy of providing a quality product and service to its customers, has been awarded accreditation to internationally accepted Quality Assurance Standards.
